The client
HVAC News is an Italian news site about heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration. The publisher wanted a simple, readable place to post sector news in Italian, one the editors could update by themselves without calling a developer for every article.
What I built
I set up a clean, lightweight news blog on WordPress and kept it deliberately simple.
- Italian from end to end — the full Italian language pack for both the public site and the admin area, so editors write and manage content in their own language.
- A reading-first, responsive theme — Twenty Fifteen, a mobile-first theme designed for clear typography, so articles read well on phones as well as on desktop.
- Low maintenance — a standard WordPress install with almost no extra plugins, which keeps updates quick and leaves little that can break.
- Spam protection — Akismet filters spam out of the comments.
