Use of Artificial Intelligence

This is an English translation provided for your convenience. The Italian version is the legally binding one: in case of any discrepancy, the Italian text prevails.

Transparency statement on the use of artificial intelligence, in line with the principles of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the AI Act). Last updated: 8 September 2026.

Artificial intelligence is part of my work: I use it, I study it and I recommend it to clients. That is exactly why I think it is right to say clearly how I use it, where you will find it on this website and what rules I set myself.

1. AI on this website

  • Images and content. Some images, text, music or video published on the website may be generated or reworked with generative artificial intelligence tools and then reviewed by me. Where it matters, I say so on the individual project page.
  • No automated decisions. The website does not use AI to take decisions about you, to profile you, or to personalise prices or content.
  • Conversational assistants. If in future the website or my channels (WhatsApp, for example) use an AI-based assistant, it will always be stated explicitly at the start of the conversation, as the AI Act requires, and you will be able to ask to speak to a person.

2. AI in the services I provide

When I build websites, applications, video, music, design or virtual assistants for you, I may use AI tools to work faster and to get a better result. I undertake to:

  • tell you: you always know which parts of the project were made with the help of AI;
  • keep a human in control: every piece of generated content is checked, corrected and approved by me before delivery;
  • protect your data: I do not put personal, confidential or privileged data into AI tools without your agreement and without adequate contractual safeguards; where possible I use services that do not train their models on the data sent to them;
  • respect copyright: I check the licensing of the tools and I do not use AI to imitate the work or the recognisable style of identifiable people without their consent;
  • avoid prohibited uses: I do not develop systems for manipulation, mass biometric surveillance, social scoring or other uses prohibited by the AI Act.

3. Assistants and chatbots built for clients

The virtual assistants I design (on WhatsApp or on a website, for example) follow these rules: they introduce themselves as automated systems; they stay within the agreed subjects; they keep conversations only for as long as necessary and in line with the client’s own privacy policy; they always provide a way through to a human operator; and they are tested to reduce errors and inappropriate answers. The client remains the controller of their own users’ data, and I help them draft the privacy notice.

4. The limits of AI

Generative AI systems can produce inaccurate or invented information (“hallucinations”), reflect biases present in their training data, and be unaware of recent events. For that reason no generated content is published or delivered without human review, and anything critical (figures, quotations, legal references) is checked against reliable sources.

5. Tools used

I use tools from providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and others, chosen case by case according to the project, as well as open-source models run locally when confidentiality requires it. The list may change over time.

6. Questions and reports

If you have doubts about any content on this website, if you believe that AI-generated content infringes your rights, or if you want to know how AI was used in a project, write to me at info@pierodecindio.it: I reply within a few days and, where necessary, I remove or correct the content.
