The client
Study for Fun is a training centre in Rende, in Calabria. It prepares students for university entrance tests in the healthcare faculties, for the CISIA TOLC-I (engineering) and TOLC-E (economics) tests, and for aptitude and logic tests in public competitions. It also runs language courses for international certificates: Cambridge English (PET, FCE, CAE, IELTS), French DELF, Spanish DELE and German Goethe. The school needed a site that lists all of this clearly and turns visits into enquiries.
What I built
I built and looked after the school’s WordPress site, plus landing pages for its campaigns, over the years from 2015 to 2021.
- A course catalogue: courses run on LearnPress, with the add-ons for reviews, prerequisites and wishlists, inside a language-school theme I adapted.
- Campaign landing pages: two standalone pages, one for entrance-test preparation and one for English certificates in Rende. Each has a short enquiry form that checks the required fields and emails the school.
- Artwork for every course: a dedicated image set for each certificate and level, so the catalogue reads at a glance.
- Speed work, measured: I logged Google PageSpeed at each step. Content optimisation, image compression, page caching and server compression took the score from 16 to 75 on desktop and from 26 to 61 on mobile.
