The client
Palmas Dorada is a bed and breakfast in Alghero, Sardinia. Many of its guests come from abroad, so the owners needed a site in three languages that shows the rooms and rates, helps guests plan their stay and that they can update themselves.
What I built
A site in Italian, English and German with its own control panel.
- Three languages — every page exists in Italian, English and German: rooms, services, rates, how to reach the B&B, about and contact.
- Rates and calendar — the owners set prices by period and by room size, and mark special openings and closures, from the panel.
- Booking requests — requests arrive in the panel with dates, so nothing gets lost in the inbox.
- Itineraries — a page with 10 tourist itineraries in Sardinia, useful to guests and good for search engines.
- Maps and gallery — an embedded Google map, a photo gallery and a slider on the home page.

Classic ASP with a Microsoft Access database and a custom admin panel for pages, rates, calendar, bookings and news. I also worked on the site’s search engine visibility.
