The client
The Leoncavallo Festival is dedicated to the composer Ruggiero Leoncavallo, in Montalto Uffugo, Calabria, and runs an international opera competition. Each summer brings a new programme, new guests and new press coverage, and the festival needed a site that could carry all of it, edition after edition.
What I built
I built the festival’s WordPress site on the CoffeeLuck theme by ThemeREX, adapted to a music event instead of a café.
- Programme for each edition: dedicated programme graphics and banners for the 2016 and 2017 festivals, so visitors see the full calendar at a glance.
- Guest artists: pages and images for the evenings, with performers such as violinist Salvatore Accardo and actors Giancarlo Giannini, Lina Sastri and Monica Guerritore.
- Photo gallery with pictures from each edition, organised by year.
- Press area with the press conference and newspaper coverage, including Gazzetta del Sud and Quotidiano del Sud, to give sponsors and journalists a single reference.
- A theme adapted, not rebuilt: I reworked the header and layout of a commercial theme, which kept costs low for a cultural organisation.
