The client
Viaggiapiccoli is an Italian portal about travelling with children. It has regional sections that run from Liguria, Lombardy and Piedmont to Trentino, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna and Naples, plus a section for families who travel by camper. The portal wanted its own online shop next to the editorial content, on a separate address: shop.viaggiapiccoli.com, under the same brand name.
What I built
I set up the base for the shop as a WooCommerce store. This covers the foundation of the project: the theme, the page builder and the sliders, ready for the catalogue to be loaded.
- Shop theme — WoodMart, a theme made for WooCommerce stores, with its core plugin.
- Visual page building — WPBakery, so the editorial team can change pages without touching code.
- Promotional sliders — Revolution Slider for the banners at the top of the shop.
