The client
Lucia Dovere is a photographer from Naples. She needed an online portfolio where the photographs come first, with as little interface as possible between the visitor and the images, and that she could update herself.
What I built
I built her site in WordPress, in two steps: a full-screen holding page while the work was prepared, then the portfolio itself.
- Full-screen cover page: a responsive background photo that fills the whole screen on any device, with a separate, lighter image for phones.
- Portfolio on Peliegro, a WordPress theme made for photographers, so galleries and single images are shown large and clean.
- Easy updates: new series are added from the WordPress dashboard, in Italian, without touching code.
- Light setup: only the plugins needed, so the site stays simple to look after.
Built with
WordPress, Peliegro theme by Peenapo, a custom responsive full-background HTML and CSS cover page, Italian-language admin.
